MX Plan - OVHcloud email documentation

Create, configure and manage your OVHcloud MX Plan email addresses.

What is MX Plan?

MX Plan is OVHcloud's shared email solution, easy to set up, which links custom email addresses to your domain name (firstname@yourdomain.com). Find all the guides here to create, configure and manage your email accounts.

With an MX Plan offer, you can:

  • Create and manage custom email addresses on your domain name
  • Access your email from webmail, wherever you are
  • Configure your mailboxes in an email client on your computer or mobile device
  • Enable advanced features (auto-replies, filters, redirections, delegation, mailing lists)

Getting started with MX Plan

Accessing your email

Depending on your offer (and any migration it may have undergone), your MX Plan email service is based on one of these three webmail technologies, each with a different interface and features:

  • Roundcube: the original webmail, lightweight and easy to use.
  • Zimbra: a modern collaborative webmail, with shared calendar, contacts and tasks.
  • Outlook Web App (OWA): the webmail based on Microsoft Exchange technology.

To identify your service's technology, log in to your OVHcloud Control Panel, go to the General information tab of your email service: it is shown under Webmail.
